It all started with a friendship
Joseph Markey

 

Joe has spent his entire career in recruiting. He started out at Apex Systems as a Technical Recruiter almost 20 years ago. After just under five years of the Agency life, he made the jump to Internal Recruiter at Google, soon after leaving Google he joined Lookout and helped grow the company from 40 - 400 employees.

Since leaving Lookout, Joe has spent the last seven years designing, building, and implementing talent solutions for venture backed start up companies including: Thumbtack, Pilot, Calm, Contentful, SurveyMonkey, Affirm, Stripe, WePay, KeepTrucking, and many others.

Throughout that journey, across diverse client base, everyone wanted more candidates at the top of their funnel. Typically companies do a great job at focusing on increasing the number of active candidates that apply to their open positions but have less success finding the best passive candidates on the market.

Sean has also spent his entire career working with Talent organizations, his first 12 years were running the Technology National Accounts program for Apex Systems (where he and Joe met), while the last 5 were with TextRecruit, iCIMS, and XOR running their sales and customer success organizations.

Sean has worked with hundreds of organizations to help solve their hiring needs, and every single one wanted more quality talent at the top of the funnel. Recruitment technology has come a long way over the last 5 years, almost every solution now incorporates some form of Artificial Intelligence, and while this technology is evolving very quickly, we have not yet effectively replaced the human element of recruiting.
